Alaskan pianist Sasha Bult-Ito has appeared as soloist with orchestras in both the United States and Europe. She made her orchestral solo debut with the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra at age seven after winning the Fairbanks Symphony Concerto Competition, of which she was a rare, three-time first-place laureate. Sasha has performed in Koerner Hall as a finalist of The Glenn Gould School Annual Concerto Competition, and was a semi-finalist of the 2015 e-Piano Junior and Fourteenth Eastman Young Artists International Piano Competitions. An avid chamber musician, Sasha is pianist of The Ezra Duo and Velox Quartett, and is in high demand as a recital collaborator. Recent performances include chamber appearances with Ezra and Velox across North America, and solo performances at the Southeastern Piano Festival, John Perry Academy Summer Piano Festival, Internationaler Klaviersommer Cochem Meisterkurs in Germany, and at home in Toronto. In 2021 she recorded as collaborative pianist for the Royal Conservatory of Music’s Violin Series 2021 Edition, contributing to the definitive recording library for the RCM Certificate Program examinations, with some works recorded alongside classical icon James Ehnes. In addition to artistic direction and teaching faculty duties for the Emerald Coast Chamber Music Festival, Sasha serves as Director’s Assistant at the John Perry Academy Summer Piano Festival in New Jersey, and served on the Young Jury for the 2018 Arthur Fraser International Piano Competition in South Carolina. Beginning her piano studies at age four with her mother, Sasha attended the Interlochen Arts Academy for high school, studying with Thomas Lymenstull. Sasha holds a Bachelor of Music, Honours, and an Artist Diploma from The Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, where she studied under the direction of John Perry and David Louie as a full-scholarship recipient.
